Local data remains a professional responsibility.

1. Offline-first working model

ClearView Pro is designed as a Windows desktop application that stores its working client information locally on the user's computer during ordinary operation. It is not designed as a hosted accounting ledger or cloud document repository.

2. User control and responsibility

The practice or user remains responsible for the source accounting records, imported files, mapping decisions, client permissions, local computer access and appropriate professional retention procedures.

3. Backups

ClearView Pro includes backup functionality, but application backup features do not replace a wider business backup strategy. Users should maintain independent copies appropriate to the sensitivity and importance of their client records, and should periodically test that backups can be restored.

4. Licence state is separate from client data

Aghavion's current commercial architecture treats licence and entitlement state as separate from client records. A licence change, expiry or replacement is not intended to delete, encrypt or remove local client records or backups.

5. Device loss, corruption and malware

Aghavion cannot guarantee recovery where a computer, storage device or backup is lost, physically damaged, encrypted by malware, corrupted, or otherwise unavailable. Appropriate endpoint security, access controls and external backup arrangements remain important.

6. Restore operations

Users should confirm the correct backup before restoration and should retain a separate copy of current data before performing significant recovery work. Where uncertainty exists, contact support@aghavion.com before overwriting live records.

7. Professional and regulatory duties

Accounting practices may have their own contractual, professional, confidentiality and record-retention obligations. ClearView Pro does not determine those obligations for the user.
